Tellurion is a laboratory of 332 interactive physics simulations spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, quantum, relativity, statistical mechanics, fluid dynamics, condensed matter, and astrophysics. Each one is built to be operated, not just observed: drag the camera, adjust the parameters, see what happens.
The name refers to the tellurion, an 18th-century mechanical apparatus for teaching how the Earth, Moon, and Sun move together: a hand-built physics instrument designed for demonstration through direct manipulation. This site extends the idea to the rest of physics.

PhD candidate in Astronomy
During my academic years, I wrote several physics simulations to help build intuition for the classes I was taking. Seeing how useful they were to me, I decided to give them a makeover and share them with others. Eventually, this idea grew into its own passion project, with the aim to include physics simulations for as many concepts as possible. Thus, Tellurion was born.
